Main Menu

The main menu contains the following tabs:
Resource View
This view displays all the resources down the left hand side. If you have created one or more Resource Groups, they will be displayed within their groups. You can change the display order by dragging a resource or resource group to the position where you want it. If you have not created any groups, the resources are displayed in alphabetic order.

There are columns for the time slots available. You can change the size of time slots in Admin|Settings.

Each booking of a resource is shown as a colored block containing the name of the job. You can click on these blocks to see full details of the job. You can also drag and drop the blocks - either within the row to change the date and time, or between rows to assign a different resource to the job. To create a new job, you can drag the mouse over a series of dates in a resource row.

At the top of the screen, there are buttons to move the calendar left and right, or to a particular date, or to today's date. If you hold the mouse over one of the buttons, a brief pop-up tip will appear explaining what the button does.

There are also buttons to create a new resource, create a new resource group, or create a new job.

There is a drop down to choose a filter to hide some of the data, and a key to the colors. You can add edit the colors by clicking here, and add a new color key by clicking "(New key)".

You may find your view refreshing occasionally, even though you have done nothing. This happens if another user has changed something in the view you can see, so your view is never out of date. (Actually, it can be up to ten seconds out of date, as it only looks for changes every ten seconds, but who is arguing.)

Task View
This view displays all the tasks down the left hand side. If you have created one or more Task Groups, they will be displayed within their groups.
