Backup
This option takes a full copy of the entire ResourcePlanner database, and either emails it to the email address in Settings, or downloads it to you immediately.
It is important for at least one supervisor to take regular backups, and to hold them off site.
It is also useful to take ad hoc backups before making major changes, as ResourcePlanner does not provide any other method of undoing mistakes! [There is a reason for this - ResourcePlanner is inherently multi-user, so the incorrect change you want to undo may conflict with a change made by another user since.]
Restore
Click the Browse button to browse to the ResourcePlanner backup file you previously downloaded (or detatched from an email), then click the OK button to upload it.
Attempting to restore an invalid or incorrect data file may destroy your database and prevent further access to the system until a correct backup has been restored manually.
